Dr. Sashikala Mishra

Dr. Sashikala Mishra is a Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Symbiosis Pune and is deputed as Director of Symbiosis Hyderabad. She has over 18 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience, with expertise spanning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Healthcare AI, Cyber Security, and Intelligent Decision Support Systems. Her academic and research work encompasses emerging areas including NeuroSymbolic AI, Explainable AI, Knowledge Graph Embedding and Multi-hop Reasoning, and Deep Learning for Medical Imaging. She has contributed extensively to research and academic development, with more than 90 international publications, including 74 Scopus-indexed and 16 Web of Science publications, along with granted, published, and in-process patents. Dr. Mishra has also led international research collaborations and academic initiatives, including serving as Principal Investigator of an Australia–India Cyber and Critical Technology Partnership (AICCTP) funded project. She has established collaborations with more than 50 international universities and has organized and coordinated over 50 international conferences, workshops, FDPs, symposiums, and research events involving institutions and researchers across Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan, UAE, Taiwan, Mexico, and Europe.
