Prof. Rajaraman Devanathan Eri

Prof. Rajaraman Devanathan Eri is a Professor of Biological Sciences with expertise spanning clinical nutrition, gut health and nutrition, microbiome research, immunology, mucosal biology, food sciences, and biomedical research. His research has explored the relationship between nutrition, the gut microbiome, inflammation, immune responses, and human health, including research related to inflammatory and gastrointestinal conditions and cancer. He brings extensive experience in teaching and research, with courses covering research methods, research integrity, immunology, biochemistry, and nutrition. His academic work also includes technology-enhanced learning and the development of virtual laboratory approaches to support science education. Prof. Eri has over 250 publications, with his research spanning areas including gut health, microbiome, immunomodulation, nutrition, dietary fibre, food additives, inflammatory bowel disease, and cancer-related research. He has secured over $4 million in research grants and has received multiple awards, including an Australian national award for teaching.
