University Policies

Students at UWA India are supported by University policies, procedures and governance documents that promote a high-quality, transparent and student-focused educational experience. These documents set out the academic and administrative requirements that apply to students, explain students’ rights and responsibilities, and provide guidance on matters relating to study and participation in University life.
Governance Documents
UWA India operates within the governance framework of The University of Western Australia. This includes University regulations, rules, policies and other approved governance instruments.
These documents establish the requirements and decision-making arrangements that support academic quality, integrity, accountability and compliance across the University. Where required, UWA India-specific policies, procedures or schedules may supplement the University-wide framework to address applicable Indian legislative and regulatory requirements.
Students can access relevant University policies, regulations and governance documents through the UWA Policy Library and Governance webpages.
Additional UWA India-specific policies, procedures and schedules will be published on this website as required.
Academic Governance
UWA India operates in accordance with The University of Western Australia's Academic Governance arrangements. These arrangements support the quality, integrity and continuous improvement of teaching, learning, assessment and student outcomes. Academic governance policies provide clear standards and processes that guide academic decision-making and ensure accountability across the University.
Key policy areas include:
Student Administration Policies
Student Administration policies govern matters relating to admission, enrolment, academic progression, assessment, appeals, complaints, graduation and student conduct. These policies ensure that students are treated fairly and consistently throughout their academic journey.
Course Management policies establish the principles for the development, approval, review and management of courses and programs. They help ensure that all courses meet UWA's academic standards and align with relevant regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
Learning and Teaching Policies
Learning and Teaching policies support excellence in education by providing guidance on curriculum design, assessment, student learning, teaching quality and academic integrity. These policies help create an engaging and supportive learning environment for all students.
