The Academic Merit Award supports high-achieving students who demonstrate consistent academic success and a strong commitment to their studies at UWA India.

What you’ll receive

  • 25% tuition fee waiver
  • Applied for the standard full-time duration of your course
  • Available across both UWA India campuses
  • Applies to undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs

Who should apply

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are an Indian citizen domiciled in India
  • Are commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree
  • Have achieved an aggregate score of at least 80%

How it’s awarded

Applications will open soon. For more information, please contact scholarships.uwaindia@uwa.edu.au.

  • Applications are assessed on academic performance
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview
  • Scholarships are awarded until the annual quota is filled

The University of Western Australia is working closely with the University Grants Commission (UGC) to obtain the necessary approvals for its proposed campuses and course offerings in India. Scholarships and bursaries will be offered on a provisional basis, and a final offer issued once the required UGC approvals and any other required approvals have been received.
