The Vice-Chancellor High-Merit Award recognises students who combine strong academic results with impressive extra-curricular achievements. It reflects UWA India’s commitment to developing future leaders.

What you’ll receive

  • 50% tuition fee waiver
  • Applied for the standard full-time duration of your course
  • Available across both UWA India campuses
  • Applies to undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs

Who should apply

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are an Indian citizen domiciled in India
  • Are commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree
  • Have achieved an aggregate score of at least 85%
  • Demonstrate excellence in areas such as leadership, community involvement, sport, or the arts

How it’s awarded

  • Applications are assessed on academic merit and overall achievement
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview
  • A limited number of scholarships are available each year

The University of Western Australia is working closely with the University Grants Commission (UGC) to obtain the necessary approvals for its proposed campuses and course offerings in India. Scholarships and bursaries will be offered on a provisional basis, and a final offer issued once the required UGC approvals and any other required approvals have been received.
