About this bursary
The Tamil Nadu UWA Bursary recognises UWA’s expanding presence in India and the establishment of the Chennai campus. It provides financial support to students from Tamil Nadu to encourage early enrolment and access to a UWA education.
What you’ll receive
- 10% tuition fee waiver
- Valid for the standard full-time duration of your course
- Available for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs
- Offered to students studying at UWA India (Chennai campus)
Who should apply
You may be eligible if you:
- Are an Indian citizen domiciled in Tamil Nadu
- Are commencing full-time study at UWA India
- Have received an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program
How it’s awarded
- Automatic consideration — no separate application required
- All applicants undergo eligibility verification
- Bursaries are awarded until the quota is reached

Important information
The University of Western Australia is working closely with the University Grants Commission (UGC) to obtain the necessary approvals for its proposed campuses and course offerings in India. Scholarships and bursaries will be offered on a provisional basis, and a final offer issued once the required UGC approvals and any other required approvals have been received.
