About this fee waiver
The UWA India Fee Waiver provides additional financial support to students commencing study at UWA India in 2026. It has been introduced to help reduce the impact of rising foreign exchange rates and make a UWA education more accessible.
This fee waiver is available to eligible students who are not receiving another UWA India tuition-fee reduction scholarship or award.
What you’ll receive
- 5% tuition fee waiver
- Applied to the tuition fees listed in your letter of offer
- Valid for the standard full-time duration of your course
- Available for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs
Who should apply
You may be eligible if you:
- Are an Indian citizen domiciled in India
- Are commencing full-time study at UWA India in 2026
- Have received an offer into an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework course
- Are not in receipt of another UWA India-issued tuition fee reduction or scholarship
How it’s awarded
- No separate application is required
- Eligible applicants are automatically considered
- Awards are subject to availability and may change without notice
- If eligible for more than one UWA fee reduction, the higher-value award will apply

Ongoing requirements
To retain the fee waiver, recipients must:
- Remain enrolled full-time
- Make satisfactory academic progress
- Continue to meet all eligibility requirements
Important information
The University of Western Australia is working closely with the University Grants Commission (UGC) to obtain the necessary approvals for its proposed campuses and course offerings in India. Scholarships and bursaries will be offered on a provisional basis, and a final offer issued once the required UGC approvals and any other required approvals have been received.
