About this bursary
The Maharashtra UWA Bursary celebrates UWA’s longstanding engagement with India and the establishment of the Mumbai campus. It supports students from Maharashtra by providing a tuition fee reduction to help them commence their studies at UWA India.
What you’ll receive
- 10% tuition fee waiver
- Applied for the standard full-time duration of your course
- Available for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs
- Offered to students studying at UWA India (Mumbai campus)
Who should apply
You may be eligible if you:
- Are an Indian citizen domiciled in Maharashtra
- Are commencing full-time study at UWA India
- Have received an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program
How it’s awarded
- No separate application is required
- Eligible students are automatically assessed
- Bursaries are awarded until the annual quota is filled

Important information
The University of Western Australia is working closely with the University Grants Commission (UGC) to obtain the necessary approvals for its proposed campuses and course offerings in India. Scholarships and bursaries will be offered on a provisional basis, and a final offer issued once the required UGC approvals and any other required approvals have been received.
